Oda Nobunaga
Oda Nabunaga (1534-1582) was one of the most famous men during the transition between Ashikaga and Tokugawa power. His dad was a warrior and leader. After his death, Oda took his place, succeeding him. He overpowered his family and the principal family of the province. Oda’s goal was to unify the whole country, so he made a base and prepared his weapons. In that same year Oda astonishingly defeated the huge army of Imagawa Yoshimoto. In 1562, Oda made an alliance with Tokugawa Leyasu, who in a few years was going to be the first shogun of The Tokugawa Shogunate. The next year he supported Ashikaga Yoshiaki and together, conquered Kyoto. This marked the end of the Ashikaga Shogunate. All of these examples demonstrate how Oda was a greatly powerful warrior.
